THE GATHERING 2016
The summer of 2016 saw a new Music Festival arrive on the Guernsey scene.
The Gathering's first try at a three day Festival included a Main Stage, an Acoustic Stage and a Dance Tent. These were all spread over a good sized site with plenty of assorted stalls to offer a distraction between Bands.
Of course there were a few small teething problems but I have to say that the whole thing was very impressive for a first effort and the majority of feedback that I have heard has been very positive. The small management team did an incredible job and I'm sure that, as always, the people who had negative comments wouldn't have a clue how to get a Festival of this size started.
Will this become a fixture in the Guernsey summer calender? Time will tell... but I hope so!
