LIBERATION GUERNSEY 2017

On May 9th 2017 Guernsey celebrated and remembered it's Liberation from occupation for the 72nd time.

Once again I was out and about covering a few of the events. This time it included a couple of the traditional Lib day sporting competitions... the Guernsey Velo Club's Road Race and Guernsey Athletics seven mile road run.

After capturing enough shots I popped into my office to submit the first batch of pics.

Then I was off into St Peter Port for the cavalcade. Once that was over I headed to the Last Post to photograph and listen to the live music in St Andrew.
As the sun dropped, leaving us to chill in the cold north-easterly wind, I headed back into town for the Lib Rock music on the Albert Pier.

All of that list amounted to an eighteen hour day... but it was (mostly) all fun! This gallery displays some of my days work.
