Why not order a Montage of a few of your favourite pics?
17th March 2011
A very popular choice with my customers is a 'custom designed' Photo Montage. Each one is individually created with a choice of your favourite pics. It's best not to choose too many - five works really well - and I will e-mail a low resolution sample to you for approval before producing the final print.
An A2 print (sized approx 22" x 16") cost £55. You can also choose to have the montage supplied on a Canvas. A 24" x 16" Canvas is £80 with the largest 30" x 20" at £120.
You can E-MAIL ME or phone me on 07781 144525 with the picture numbers or to arrange to view my complete database of your pictures.

A few more updates to the Archives...
04th March 2011
It always amazes me how a picture can bring back the memories and emotions of a past event or special occasion. I have been 'reliving' a highlight for me in 2008 when I photographed Jersey Live.
This was the year when The Zutons & Prodigy headlined. Photographing Prodigy 'from the pit' was something special! I loved the high energy of their performance and the way these guys new how to 'work for the camera'. This is something that I have noted with many of the biggest names - they understand the power of a well captured 'moment' and will work hard for us photogs by 'throwing shapes and making eye contact'.
The result should be to the benefit of both the Artist and the Photog - an image that defines the performance for both parties.
I always encourage local bands to try and understand that there can be more to a performance than simply playing and singing and some of my favourite pics are of the local guys and gals that work hard at 'total performance'.
But I digress! I have been updating the Jersey Live Galleries for 2008. New band pics include: The Prodigy, The Zutons, We are Scientists, Velofax, These New Puritans & The Valentines.

Georgie Fame joins the list of Big names who have played at the Fermain Tavern...
28th February 2011
The Fermain Tavern in Guernsey can add another big star of the music scene to its list of 'greats' that have played in this intimate venue. It is unlikely that any 'pub' of similar size has had so many established names on its stage... even Elton John has played there!
Last Friday saw Georgie Fame take his turn and the comment from all the attentive audience was that he was well worth seeing.
I was particulaly interested to see the wide spread of ages and also the varied 'musical background' of the audience... this is surely a testiment to the fact that a great musician can transcend across all.
I have added a new Gallery of pictures featuring Georgie Fame.

She Haunts the Roads play at the Fermain Tavern...
21st February 2011
I only managed to catch the last few songs of their set but I was impressed again to hear this fairly new band when they played at the Fermain Tavern last weekend... She Haunts the Roads is one to watch.
The last time I photographed She Haunts the Roads was at Rock of Ages7 and they are in the line-up for Rock of Ages8 this weekend. Search on Facebook for details.

More pictures of the Bands playing Jersey Live 2010...
17th February 2011
Jersey Live in 2010 presented six Stages of entertainment for the two days. That allowed a huge choice of Bands to perform. I left the Festival completely 'wacked' having photographed twenty-seven of those Bands!
I have just completed the updates by bring those pictures over from my old web site. The last of these updates include pictures of: The Centeniers, The Hype, The Magic Numbers, The View, Tinie Tempah, We are Enfant Terrible & We Have Band.

Massive updates to the Jersey Live Galleries...
16th February 2011
With a new year comes the new season of Festivals and Events. I always look forward to the Spring months as the longer days help you look optimistically at the year ahead. With the Vale Earth Fair making a welcome return and a bigger Chaos Festival already lined up the year was already looking a bit special.
But now it looks as though a new festival is going to happen in the form of The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts in July. This all looks positive. THE GUERNSEY FESTIVAL
The biggest and most established Festival in the Channel Islands is definitely Jersey Live... and again this promises to be bigger and better for 2011. JERSEY LIVE HOME PAGE
I have been lucky to be invited to photograph Jersey Live for several years and have made some major updates to the Galleries to showcase some of these pictures. These include pictures of: Chase & Status, Emily Loizeau, Fenech-Soler, Groove Armada, Jamaica, Kate Nash, Peggie Sue, Pirate Video Company and Professor Green.
A picture Gallery showing the great atmosphere at Jersey Live 2010 has also been added.

'Things to do Guernsey' promote 'The Snooker Legends Tour'...
06th February 2011
Karen Solway's 'Things to do Guernsey' promoted The Snooker Legends Tour at Beau Sejour in front of a sell-out crowd last Saturday.
The Tour consisted of players Jimmy White, Dennis Taylor, John Parrott and Cliff Thorburn with John Virgo as commentator/host.
A relaxed and informal evening of entertainment showcased the talented ex-World Champions and top-ranking players with plenty of humour and crowd participation. Main sponsors of the event were Rihoy & Son and Slattery Decor.
VIEW THE SNOOKER LEGENDS PICTURE GALLERY
Whilst in the Island, Jimmy White also played a private exhibition match against the Guernsey Snooker team for a local business family. Pictures of this Event have been added to a password protected Gallery.

Gay Army are on the march!
03rd February 2011
I have just updated the Galleries to include the pics that I have taken of Gay Army. This Band remains one of my favourite local groups.
They are certainly a Band for the 'big occasion' and have played many of the Channel Islands biggest Festivals including Jersey & Guernsey Live, The Vale Earth Fairs & The Greenman Chaos Festivals. Take a look at the Galleries by clicking on the link... you will find further links to the other Festivals.

King Rat & the Soul Cats gallery updates...
02nd February 2011
As expected, it is taking quite some time! But I am continuing to bring more pictures across from the old web site. Today it has been another update to the Bands Gallery. I have added pictures of a Band that probably had the biggest fan base of any Guernsey Band before they disbanded. However, like so many of the 'old timers', they have reformed in the last few years for a few nostalgic gigs. There is no shortage of 'fans' to support King Rat & the Soul Cats whenever they play. I have have added a Gallery of pics of one of these gigs

Paul Jones & Dave Kelly play at The Fermain Tavern...
01st February 2011
The Fermain Tavern continued 2011 with another big named act following Eddie and the Hot Rods. Paul Jones & Dave Kelley were the latest visitors to take to the stage. Paul Jones has a much more laid back style than Eddie, in fact the Blues pairing performed whilst seated!
However this suited their set perfectly with the Blues songs interspersed with stories. The refurbished Fermain Tavern proved again that the new layout works really well... can't wait for the next gig. Take a look at the new pictures here.

Established Guernsey Band, The Nelkons, can now add 'supported Eddie and the Hot Rods' to their CV!
The band were lucky enough to be asked to support Eddie and the Hot Rods, along with The Risk, when they played at the new Fermain Tavern. These two great local bands did a great job and played their part in what was a fantastic night.

Eddie and the Hot Rods... what a fantastic gig
23rd January 2011
We are so lucky on this little 'rock'! The local music scene continues to produce a stream of new bands which join our established acts to keep the whole thing alive and healthy.
Then we have people who are prepared to support the 'scene'. There is no better example at the moment than Chris Staples at the Fermain Tavern. The venue has just had a fantastic 'make-over' and now represents a facility that lives up to its musical history.
And a new chapter was written on Saturday when Eddie and the Hots Rods played (again)!
As support, the Island did us proud in the form of The Risk and The Nelkons. I have added a new Gallery for Eddie and the Hot Rods... take a look. You should of been there.

Pictures of the Hogwash have been added to the Galleries...
22nd January 2011
The latest updates include additions to the Archive Galleries.
Each year I photograph many events and aspects of life on Guernsey and have a huge archive of pictures that show how 'us Guernsey Donkeys' go about the task of entertaining ourselves and others.
One Event that always entertains is the Hogwash. I have added a Gallery which shows some of the action from 2009 including Tractor Mower Racing, a Moto-X Display, Burn-outs and Bands.
There will be many more Galleries to follow featuring many other Events. Keep a regular check on this Web Site as it is updated most days.

Jack Change play at the Battle of the Bands...
20th January 2011
A Gallery has been added to feature the recent performance of the young Guernsey Band Jack Change in one of the heats of Battle of the Bands. With £1000 to be won by the Band that impresses the Judges most there has been no shortage of contenders. Jack Change won this round that was held at The Thomas de la Rue and qualified for the Final.
However, the prestigious win (and the cash!) in the Grand Final went to a fairly new but talented band called Tantale. A result that I agee with.

'Behind the scenes' updates today...
19th January 2011
There hasn't been a lot to show for a full days work but I have been modifying various aspects of the 'framework' of this new web site. The Shopping Cart & Options have all had tweaks. Not much looks different but the updates will allow a bit more flexibility in the future.
My aim remains the same - to greatly improve on the navigation, searhing and shopping experience compared to the old web site.
A new SEARCH facility has been added to the site. It allows quick searches to be made. Type a word in the box and see what you get! IT ISN'T PERFECT though and will only search by picture names or the picture information that I have added, but it can be fun!
TRY THE NEW SEARCH FEATURE
Remember to update your links/bookmarks to point to this new web site as all new updates are being made here. I will also bring many of the Gallery Archives over to this site... eventually.

2 Minutes 2 Late play at the Fermain Tavern...
18th January 2011
Last weekend Guernsey's best Live Music venue, The Fermain Tavern, hosted two great Bands. Unfortunatly I was unable to catch the set played by 'She Haunts the Roads' (although I saw them recently at ROCK OF AGES-7). I did, however, get to see the headliners 2 Minutes 2 Late and they did a great job entertaining an enthusiastic crowd.
I was pleased (with my photographers hat on!) that the lighting was much better than most nights since the re-opening. Maybe the workings of the new kit is better understood now. I have added new pictures here 2 MINUTES 2 LATE at THE FERMAIN TAVERN
