The development of the archives continues. New updates have been made to the Guernsey Hill Climb Gallery with new pics from the 3rd May racing on Le Val des Terres. Take a look here LATEST HILL CLIMB UPDATES.
I have also made further updates to the GIGS & BANDS Gallery. Once complete these Gallery archives will display the most comprehensive collection of Guernsey Motor Sport & Band/Live Music photography

Busy, busy, busy... Yet more updates today! I am trying to share the updates around and the latest Galleries are for 2010 Hill Climbs. I'm back on target! After losing a couple of days to restoring my main work computer I am now back on track with the updates - thank goodness for backups. Make this your New Years Resolution.
Thank you for all the orders. I have completed quite a number of new Montages but they will have to wait until the New Year before they are added to the Galleries. I don't want to spoil any suprises!
Todays Gallery is one I missed earlier in the year and displays the August 30th Hill Climb.

Oh, and by the way, BACKUP YOUR COMPUTER. Now I know why I am so paranoid about backing up! I make regular, multiple copies and am pleased to say that nothing has been lost.
However, can I put it on record that I officially HATE COMPUTERS and WINDOWS 7 has to take some blame too, I guess.

OK, so now the excuses! Christmas, in one word! I have to thank all you guys and girls for all the orders of Prints, Montages, Digital Files and Canvases. The preparation and production of these orders has taken a great deal of time... I know, I spend too much optimising each print!

There is another excuse as well! I currently have a 'broken' main PC. Windows 7 has thrown a huge tantrum and refuses to boot up after crashing. I have spent several days trying to rebuild Win7 using DOS as the built-in restore didn't work. I am now resigned to a reinstallation with all the activation problems with Photoshop and all my other programs... there is no shortcut.
If I can offer one bit of advice - thankfully I take my own advice - BACKUP YOUR FILES - I have backups of backups of backups...
UPDATE: It looks like I have the Computer fully restored from backups. What a HUGE hassle but I don't think I have lost a thing!! Pictures, e-mails, programs, settings, the lot have all been restored from back-ups

Today adds some action (read crashes) to the Motor Sport Gallery. Over the years of photographing Motor Sport I suppose it was inevitable that I would capture a few accidents!
I'm pleased to say that the competitors ego was the only thing damaged in these mishaps. I think that when you watch and photograph Motor Sport as much as I do you begin to develop 'an extra sense' for where and when the action will occur... certainly some of the more spectacular sequences that are shown here were anticipated!

There is an incredible amount of Motor Sport that takes place in the Channel Islands! The latest updates to the Motor Sport Galleries are the addition of a SPRINT Gallery SPRINT PICTURES HERE and a TRIALS Gallery TRIALS PICTURES HERE... and that's not the lot! There are Autotests and Powerboats to come. Oh, and one special Gallery - there is always a place for a selection of CRASH pics.

The first pictures have been added to a new Kart Racing Gallery. Karting is a long established Motor Sport in Guernsey and the Guernsey Kart & Motor Club has just celebtated its 50th Anniversary. The Guernsey Autocross Club held Round 4 of the 2010 Banger racing Championship at Chouet last Sunday. The vetrans had another chance to get back on the sand in a mixture of borrowed cars... they didn't hang about either! I have added a new Gallery featuring the days racing. Todays updates from the Archives include some Motor Sport and Gig pictures. The first of many Sand Racing Galleries has been added with the Sand Ace meeting of 2010 being the first.

The other major update has been to the Bands & Gigs Gallery (Bands A-E). This Gallery now features Abandon Ship, About an Hour, Alabama 3, Andy C, Biffy Clyro, Asylum Seekas, Basement Jaxx, Benny the Moth & Big Machine. Bands have appeared at Jersey Live, Guernsey Live, Rock of Ages, Vale Earth Fair, Greenman Chaos & Ivy Castle Earth Fair. Only about 250 more bands to go.

The long round of updates has begun! It is my intention to bring most of my archive of pics over to this new Web Site. This new site offers larger images, easier navigation with an option to view pics in a slide show... and of course you can buy a print or two online (hint, hint)! A new Gallery has been added for the last Guernsey Kart & Motor Club race meeting held at the Rue de la Trigale, Pleinmont race track. I guess the conditions were just how the riders like it... nice and muddy! Take a look at the Gallery CLICK HERE TO VIEW

New Motor Sport updates. The first new picture gallery has been added of the Guernsey Autocross Club Banger racing on Chouet beach. This 'budget' form of racing has to be the most spectacular, cheapest and most fun form of racing you can take part in. It makes for fantastic pics too! There are many roll-overs... always a challenge to be in the right place to get the pic! Even without catching a roll-over, the way the cars bounce their way around the track throwing sand in every direction makes great pics. The beach isn't just for sunbathing and making castles. Todays updates are to the Moto-X Gallery. The recent 2-day Moto-X meeting held at Pleinmont, Guernsey proved to be a 'sell-out' with a full field of riders taking part. As well as the Guernsey riders there were riders from France, Jersey & Alderney. I attended the event on both days and shot some great, action pics. Take a look in the MOTORSPORT picture Gallery. I hope it was worth the wait! Due to a large amount of Commercial photography and the development of this new web site I have only just uploaded the picture gallery for the Petit Bot Hill Climb/Time Trial. Good conditions meant that records were broken... but that has been 'the norm' at every event this year. Follow the links to see the latest upload and let me know what you think of the new site. Stuart Butler of the Heritage Group together with the support of many local members of the Motorsport Clubs organised a public Sprint along Vazon Coast Road in aid of The Pink Ladies Charity.
